What is an ARC reader? An ARC reader is someone who reads and reviews a book before it is sold to the public.

Once a book has gone through all the phases: cover artist, editing, formatting, etc., some authors like to have Advance Copy Readers or ARC’s. This helps the author ensure the book is ready and also initiates the marketing process of the book. The author sends the ARC a free copy of the book in hopes that they’ll write a review on Goodreads, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and/or BookBub.
