On June 16th, 2025, I published my first novel under my pen name, Caroline Crews. This is amazing, a dream come true, and so wild. I got the idea for this novel when I was fourteen, and started writing it in 2021. Now, it's finally out in the world!
If you would like to know more about my novel, I wrote a reader’s guide to ABOBAL in this blog post. Soon, I plan to share the first three chapters online so that people can see my style and know if this story interests them before they buy it.
Before June hit, I had received eight acceptances into anthologies and magazines, and five of those had been published on Amazon and other places.
During the month, Micromance Magazine published my flash fiction piece “An Anniversary Surprise” for their One Year Feature. This was my sixth published work and my first sci-fi piece. I loved writing this story.

Throughout the month, I also received three amazing emails of acceptance, bringing my total number of pieces in anthologies and magazines to eleven. My story “Time for Change,” written under Caroline Crews, and “Time to Fly,” written under Beatrice Crews, both got accepted into Beyond the Veil, a Dragon Soul Press Anthology. And my story “Take My Hand” got accepted into Tread Lightly, Speak Gently, a Wild Ink Press Anthology.
“Time for Change” is another sci-fi piece. One day, I might even make this piece into a novel. “Time to Fly” is a spin-off of the novel I’m writing under Beatrice Crews. “Take My Hand” is a story written from my heart and is packed full of emotions. It’s very raw and deep. I also wrote it for my mother, and all those mothers I worked with when I was an antepartum nurse.

I grew a year older! It was a great birthday that I spent with my mom and friends.
I seriously published a book! This still mind boggles me! I can’t believe I did it.
Thank you to everyone who helped me get here. I couldn't have done this without all of the amazing support I've had along the way. :)
